Tribunal Announces New Appointment

Ottawa, Ontario, June 15, 2026— The Canadian International Trade Tribunal announced today the appointment of Susan Hutton as a temporary member for a three-year term, effective June 15, 2026.
Ms. Hutton brings over 30 years of experience in administrative law, with recognized expertise in competition and international trade matters, including experience appearing before the Tribunal. Visit the Tribunal’s Who we are page for more on Ms. Hutton’s background.
The Tribunal is an independent quasi-judicial body that reports to Parliament through the Minister of Finance. It hears cases on dumped and subsidized imports, safeguard complaints, complaints about federal government procurement and appeals of customs and excise tax rulings. When requested by the federal government, the Tribunal also provides advice on other economic, trade and tariff matters.
